Laura Patterson, winner of the 2024 Residency Prize, has a background in sound design, storytelling was, and still is. Her creations on canvas evoke a visceral experience, transcending boundaries of sight and sound. With a profound bond to the natural world, Laura’s work often intertwines nature and narrative. Her landscapes offer enchanting impressions but also invite the viewer to rediscover and perhaps contemplate their own connection with the natural world and beauty of the landscape.

Laura is opening her studio on level 2 in the Salamanca Arts Centre on Saturday 31st of May from 11am - 1pm; to show the artwork she has created.
